미국 뉴욕주 Rochester Business Institute(1863년 설립)에서 제작한 휴대용 접이식 컬러 지도입니다.

미국 남북전쟁(1861-1865) 직후, 19세기 중반 당시 소수의 예비 대학생들에게 뉴욕에 있는 학교를 찾아올 수 있도록 상세한 도로, 철로 정보가 담긴 휴대용 지도를 제공하였습니다.

19세기 지도이다보니 지금의 미국과는 행정구역이나 지명이 많이 차이가 나고, 사라진 지명도 많이 보입니다. 

캐나다도 Dominion of Canada (1867년 공식국가명)로 기재되어 있습니다.

150년 전 미국 북동부 모습을 컬러로 지도에 담은 희귀 포켓용 지도입니다.
