'Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet'은 Miles Davis Quintet의 앨범으로 1958년 3월 Prestige 레이블을 통해 발매되었다. 1956년 5월 11일과 10월 26일 두 세션에서 녹음되어 4개의 5중주 앨범이 탄생했다. 이 5중주 시리즈는 'Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet', 'Workin' with the Miles Davis Quintet', 'Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet'이다 이 4개의 앨범은 하드밥 장르의 최고의 정점을 찍은 연주로 평가받는다 이 시리즈는 2005년 명 프로듀서 Rudy Van Gelder가 리마스터링하여 재발매되었다. 오리지널 마스터 릴을 그대로 사용하여 뮤지션간의 대화가 그대로 담겨 있어 생동감이 넘친다. 앨범 제목에서 알 수 있듯이 마일스의 '발라드 진수'를 느낄 수 있는 명반이다
