P-51B 'Sweet Clara II'는 제2차 세계 대전 당시 미국 육군 항공대 제325전투비행단, '체커테일 클랜'으로 알려진 부대의 제319전투비행대 소속으로 루마니아 상공에서 작전을 수행했습니다.

제325전투비행단은 1942년 창설되어 북아프리카와 유럽 전역에서 활약했는데 특히 1943년 사르디니아 지구에서 큰 전과를 올렸던 사례가 있습니다.

1944년에는 P-51 무스탕으로 기종을 변경하고 장거리 폭격기 호위 임무를 맡기도 했습니다.
