1만 2천대를 생산해 399대를 남겨 놓고 11601대가 팔렸다. 전 세계의 Macintosh 보급 대수를 기반으로 해서 각 국가별로 쿼터 비슷하게 배분을 해서, 실제 많이 판매된 국가는 미국, 일본, 프랑스, 독일, 영국. 그 외의 국가들의 경우 호주에는 10대, 한국에는 딱 한 대 수입했다. 국내의 경우 당시 총판이던 엘렉스컴퓨터에서 10주년 기념으로 추첨을 통해 경품으로 줬다. 그 1대는 부산대학교 엘렉스 대리점에서 한 여성이 당첨받아 갔으며[4], 일부 매니아들이 eBay나 야후! 옥션 등을 통해 국내로 들여온 것이 극소수나마 몇 대 있다. 생산 대수도 엄청 적고 판매된 국가도 한정된 말 그대로 환상의 기종이다.
